GREEN OFFICIENCY ROADSHOW

The Green Officiency Roadshow was held courtesy of Oxfordshire Sustainable Business Partnership.

But I can hear you asking "What is "Green Officiency"? Put simply, it is all about running a more efficient and environmentally aware office. The event constituted the first step towards cutting office waste and saving money on resources and utilities such as paper, cartridges, water and energy - government programme Envirowise estimates that this could be worth as much as £200 per employee each year.

The delegates learned that becoming more resource efficient need not be a burden on office staff. It is the simple things that make the difference - fitting water-saving "hippos" in toilet cisterns - routinely switching off computers and lights at the end of the day. Delegates followed a systematic approach and participated in some practical but enjoyable workshops so they could take away some tools to start using straight away in their own businesses.
